I’ve had a couple friends move recently and they have asked me to compile a list of essential items to have in a liquor closet. I would love your input to make a “stock the bar checklist” for all the fellow Drinkies out there!
Liquor:
- Vodka
- Gin
- Bourbon / Whiskey
- Rum
- Tequila
Liqueurs
- Frangelico
- Bailey’s Irish Cream
- Kahlúa
- Grand Marnier
- Chambord
Juices
- Pineapple
- Orange
- Lemonade
- Cranberry
- Sour mix
Please suggest your favorite brand of liquors and type! Also let me know what other mixers you like for your drinks!
Help us stock that bar! Cheers!
Scotch. Who drinks Chambord any more. Dry Vermoth
Makers Mark bourbon
Absolut Boston vodka
Gran Marnier
Old Pusser rum
Amaretto Di Sorono
Absolut Citron vodka
Grey Goose and/or Belvedere vodka
Guinness!
Bombay Sapphire gin
Drunken Olives (ginormous olives, soaked in Vermouth)
Oban scotch
More Guinness!
Grappa
Ouzu (black)
Club Soda
Tonic Water
Simple Syrup
Bitters
Assorted fruits
Frozen canned lemonade makes a much better Tom Collins (especially with Bombay Sapphire) than sour mix does. And it’s actually a bit cheaper.
Definitely scotch.
Depends on the budget of the closet but:
Stoly Vodka (chilled)
Bombay Sapphire Gin
Jack Daniel’s Bourbon
Barcardi Clear Rum
Flor de Caña Dark Rum
Cazadores Tequila (chilled)
Disarrono Amaretto
Juices are fine
grenadine
club soda
tonic water
simple syrup
bitters
bar nuts
I’m gonna have to chime in in favor of Chambord. Definitely my favorite liqueur of the moment. Though, I do have to add Midori to your list
